We are proud to continue our support of the Lions Club who recycle and distribute spectacles to those who need them the most. Over the years we have donated thousands of spectacles which we''ve found in house clearances. Please see the extract below from their newsletter:
"Another way to meet the challenge is through the collection of unwanted and damaged spectacles which are sent to Chichester Lions CLub which processes tens of thousands of recycled spectacles each year. Sorted spectacles are then sent for grading and distribution to Medico France in Le Havre. Spectacles are also sent directly to contacts running eye clinics in Papua Guinea, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Nigeria and Nepal. In addition, volunteers to countries accross the world. Although this recycling programme is on hold at the moment, it will restart as soon as possible."
